MEANING OF APPEASEMENT
Reader comment on item: They had a name for it[: Appeasement]

Submitted by JACQUES HADIDA (United States), Jul 21, 2006 at 15:01

I find the explanation on appeasement very thorough and so true. Sadly it is a reminder of WW II unfortunate decision making by those we thought to be the saviors.

In other words, if we are to learn from our past mistakes, let's not repeat them.

If we all agree that this problem must be resolved once and for all so the next generations wont have to suffer from it, then, let us use the means necessary to eliminate, eradicate the terrorist fear from our midst

Tell me, who wishes to live with terror in his midst

We all want a peace of mind. We want to live our lives normally . Don't we deserve it?
