Creeping sharia and it could be legal again in Egypt to subject girls to female genital mutilation

I wanted to bring this to your attention and it is what i call the creeping sharia in Egypt and it is about the recent changes in what is called الرؤية الشرعية لمشروع تعديلات قانون الطفل المصري or the sharia view of the proposed changes in the Egyptian Child law (read this as the present secular law and the word al-shar3iyya means the legal but in this case read it as al-sharia)

What is most interesting is the last item and that is in regard to female circumcision

تنص المادة 116 مكررًا (ب) في قانون الطفل المعدل على: " مع عدم الإخلال باي عقوبة أشد ينص عليها في قانون آخر يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن ثلاثة أشهر ولا تجاوز سنتين أو بغرامة لا تقل عن ألف جنيه ولا تجاوز خمسة آلاف جنيه كل من أجرى أو شرع في إجراء ختان لإحدى الإناث".

أكَّد أنه شخصيًّا يرفض هذه التعديلات تمامًا، خاصةً البند الخاص بإيقاع عقاب بمن يختن ابنته، سواءٌ الأب أو الأم أو الطبيب؛ فلا يجوز تجريم أو تحريم أمرٍ أًصله مباح شرعًا.

وجاء تجريم الخفاض (ختان الإناث)، متصادما ومتعارضا تماما مع الشريعة الإسلامية التي لم تنص على تحريمها، كما أوضح الدكتور يوسف القرضاوي وهو أحد واضعي الميثاق حيث يقول:

"أجمعت الأدلة الفقهية والطبية على حتمية ختان الذكور فقط بينما اختلف الفقهاء في ختان الإناث ولم يجمعوا على استحبابه ولكنهم اختلفوا بين كونه واجباً أو مستحباً أو مكرمةً)

And this is what it says that in the present law that anyone who participates in the act of female circumcision that he could go to prison for 3 months to 2 years and pay a fine between 1000-5000 Egyptian pounds

Then we read that a certain doctor abd al-Fatah al-Shiekh is saying that this penalty should not be as what is allowed in Islamic sharia (female circumcision) cannot be forbidden as per present law

Yusuf al-Qaradawi is saying that male circumcision is a must but the female variety some think it is a duty or preferred or blessed in other words the little fascist is saying that female circumcision is fine and dandy
