Abbas/Hamas=peace/schmeeceReader comment on item: Two Palestines, Anyone? Submitted by Michele Solomon Fryncko (United States), Jun 19, 2007 at 16:11 Semantics aside (e.g., Abbas and Fatah are moderate), Israel's enemies can all agree on one thing: they want a Middle East that is Judenrein. When the United States, Olmert, the European Union and anyone else in the world vows to support Fatah, ideologically and financially, they allow Fatah to become more dangerous than Hamas and its "in your face" hatred of Jews. Not until we recognize and acknowledge what Fatah, Hamas, all their cousins and co-religionists really believe will we be able to examine whether a "two-state solution" is a realistic goal. Mr. Pipes again bares the truth that I wish this world would hear: they all "agree on eliminating the Jewish state." The only peace the Jewish State can hope for is one she creates for herself--that is one reality that remains unchanged.
