Reader comment on item: "A Shot at Peace": Can the U.S. Enforce the "Road Map"

Submitted by terry silber (United Kingdom), Jul 9, 2003 at 08:15

in my opinon it is not up to the palestinian arabs to make the decsion to accept Israel, but it is up to all the countries of the arab league to step back from their position stated in 1945 when it was formed to eliminate israel

and also the islamic high council in saudi arabia who since 1983 at their meetings in Kabba
have stressed the religious need to eliminate israel.

so your article didnt really make sense because it assumed that the palestinian arabs
and the various terrorist groups would make the decision to accept the existence of israel

Also in my opinion, the arabs will never accept israel in the long term untill they are forced.
I base this on what happed to japan, germany , russia and 15/16/17 century style catholics in england

All similar ideologies that resorted to suicide tactics, and brain washing its own people into thinking that they were the best to rule the world were all eliminated or neutralized by the non religious silent majority
