Reader comment on item: "A Shot at Peace": Can the U.S. Enforce the "Road Map"

Submitted by Shirley Dobry (United States), Jul 8, 2003 at 17:53

A recent e-mail with which I strongly agree states that the "hudna" that Abbas and the terrorist organizations formulated is being used as the "road map". Nowhere in the roadmap is Israel to release 6,000 prisoners including murderers of Israeli men, women and children. The threats we now hear from the terrorists is a sure sign that this most recent peace effort is doomed. If the Arab Palestinians do not accept the existence of Israel there is no point in continuing. Placating the United States is putting Israeli security at mortal risk.
