Dr. Pipes, great job here. My question is if official Washington is divided over the Arab-Israeli conflict, what are the specifics of this division? Obviously, the State Department is, as usual, more focused on short term appeasement than long term resolution, but where does the Defense Department stand? Is there any hope for Israel there? What about the National Security Council and the Ashcroft-headed Justice Department?
