Reader comment on item: How a Young British Muslim Was Tempted into Jihad

Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Jun 9, 2007 at 23:29

It is not a surprise that some one chooses to kill themselves after living in an enviroment of hate and despair. Radical islam is this type of life. There are many good muslims , but there are some who decide to make life sad and hopeless for others. It is in this type of setting that extremists are created and exploited to lash out at innocent people. This why seemingly normal people engage in horrific acts. We have seen this from people who are in cults , they started life out a good person then they lived a controlled twisted life then they hurt others and or themselves. ie. Jonestown with the poison and all the killings.

It does not have to be like this , there are good muslims who can stop the bad ones , they must or everyone loses.
