PolygamyReader comment on item: Harems Accepted in the West Submitted by joeyindc (United States), Jun 7, 2007 at 20:13 Here is a question: How many laws does the U.S. have to ignore to accomodate people who come here for their own benefit!! It isn't like we need these people so that we can subsidize their incomes, educate their children that don't speak english, or anything else. We need to make the laws and enforce the laws. What if there is a culture that allows child sexual abuse, are we supposed to allow it just so we aren't offending people of other cultures?? HELL NO, they need to realize that they are here because of our generousity and kindness. If they don't like our rules, they can go someplace else. PERIOD. I am sick of this kind of stuff. Traditions come and go. Slavery of Africans was once a tradition, but not now. Things change. They have to abide by the same rules we do, even if their culture allows it. Their culture is in their homeland, our culture is here. That is how it is. They need to respect that.
