Dan, A thesis of your book, " militant Islam reaches America" is that the west (US) must resist the extremists to give the moderates hope that they might assert themselves. Iraq is our first punch in that direction. From the news accounts I'm reading, I don't see much of the moderates emerging in that war-torn country. Why is this the case? Are the moderates afraid? What is it going to take to put the moderates in control, without getting them blasted by the bad guys? A la recent bombings in Israel. Your thoughts, if you have a moment. Thanks.
