Dear Mr. Pipes: As you know, there are two sides to every coin. Blanket carte blanche support of Israel in pretending non-terrorist Palestinians do not exist will continue to inflame the region and may lead to a horrible future for Israeli and Palestinian citizens alike. I consider the linkage by Sharon, Netanyahu and others of the War on Terrorism with what is happening in Israel is not far afield of Usama bin Laden's attempt to do that to justify his own "cause." They are two totally separate issues. Israel's continued 35-year occupancy and martial law of those areas cannot continue forever. Israelis and modern Palestinians must learn to bury the hatchet and get along--as Jews and Muslims have done all over the Middle East for centuries. That will mean compromises on both sides. Peace will never come unless that is obtained, only disaster. It's a no-brainer. Regards, Steve Singleton
