Soviet Military Intelligence officer discussed the Six-Day War 20 years ago

In his book, The Liberators, "Victor Suvorov" relates how the Soviets premeditated this war. He was just about to graduate from his military academy and all his classmates in the weeks before were excited and envious of the previous year's graduates, for everyone expected a swift victory. Afterwards, they were simply told that the Arabs were poor soldiers - no other explanation! The author suggests that the war was just one of the activities the Soviets staged to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Revolution.
