Mr Pipes, I must agree with Tzvi Tamari that there is no such thing as a modorate muslim. What worries me is that there are so many people like yourself who think there are. I was born in a muslim country (French Morocco). When the French left, everyone I knew there left. When I visit my family in Canada. Everyone I ever knew in Morocco is there. My large extended family, my friends, and my neighbors.
The reason they left, is that no one felt safe there after the French left. My mother's house was broken into many times. Once she left her wet wash in the garden and went in the house to get the clothespins. When she came back, the whole load of wet wash and the basket were gone. My sister had a knife weilding guy in her bedroom stealing her jewelry while she pretended to be asleep. My 5yr old sister was almost raped, she was saved because someone heard her scream as he dangled her over a third story building.
You can say those were criminals, but in the koran it says to steal, lie and kill the infadel. Guess where that leaves you and me. When muslims become the majority anywhere guess which side those moderate moslems will be on?
