This is too small a definition of terrorism.

Daniel, this definition of terrorism is self-serving and inaccurate. Just as a tree can fall in the woods and make noise even if no one is there to hear it, a group can be terroristic even if no Americans are harmed by its operations. You are completely wrong on this issue. It isn't even debatable.
