The problem of pluralismReader comment on item: From the Halls of Academia Submitted by timpaul (United States), May 6, 2003 at 04:49 "Death to Israel" interpreted by militant Islamists makes sense given the dictates of parts of the Koran. Literary deconstructionists and fashionable relativists lack an objective moral foundation to condemn the most violent acts of militant Islam. Religious pluralists must bite the bullet: Without an objective ethical standard to condemn suicidal bombings, they must agree that brutal, senseless terrorist acts, maintain equal validity compared to anything the West has to offer. Pluralism if true would deconstruct itself. Wake up sleepers who walk by secular humanistic dogma. By faith, not by sight.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
