To Susan: When did I say all that?
Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), Apr 6, 2007 at 02:44
Susan your first post said:
"My intention was to show that Hitler considered himself a Christian and he was fighting for the Christian cause. "
how bad is to be ignorant
...the notion that the church either gave birth to Hitler or walked hand-in-hand with him as a partner is, simply, slander. Hitler himself knew better. "One is either a Christian or a German," he said. "You can't be both."
From: Jadwiga Biskupska (Cornell University), "Hitler & Triumph of the Will: A Nazi Religion in the Catholic Style" in Undergraduate Quarterly, September/November 2004, page 147 (URL: http://www.undergradquarterly.com/EJournal/2004Q2/Biskupska.pdf):
As an institution on German soil, he is very much opposed to it, and he ridicules the teachings of Church fathers and the practice of the Catholic faith... he detested the doctrines, of the Roman Church... Institutionalized religion, in Hitler's view, was a waning phenomenon...
Here is what I wrote in reply:
Hello Susan, here is a site worth visiting: http://www.nobeliefs.com/mementoes.htm
I agree it is bad to be ignorant. Equally it is good to be aware of one's ignorance.
You then disdainfully wrote:
i am not interested in your links. there are quotes from goebbles saying hitler didn't like christianity.
I was wrong. Ignorance is bliss!
Goebbles is your believable source on Hitler? So I was wrong after all. Ignorance is bliss.
You now write:
"that goebbles was at hitler's service and was working for him in the best way possible?
do you dispute that goebbles even died with him and remained loyal to him even his last minutes"
lack of history books in india."
Go through my posts to you and show me where I made any such claims. So where is the question of my disputing them? I was just amazed at your using Goebbles statements as being the truth about Hitler. It would be interesting to read Hitler's biography with Goebbles statements about him as the original source.
You also wrote:
"lack of history books in india."
Indians are too poor to afford pricey European books. Charming snakes to entertain Westerners does not bring much money.
Susan note the following:
1) In you first post you have ignored the fact that I did not claim Hitler was as Christian. All I said was that he claimed , if you have time visit the sources mentioned, to be Christian.
2) You gave me two links as source for whatever you were trying to say but when I gave you a link to substantiate what I said you turned your nose up and said you were not interested. That brought up my comment on ignorance being bliss.
