Believe ThisReader comment on item: How Elijah Muhammad Won Submitted by adore shabazz (United States), Mar 23, 2007 at 08:31 I stumbled upon this page after doing a search for Elijah's illegit children. This was an informative article, yet there was a hint of fear that blacks would leave Christianity in lieu of their own black religion. My experience with Christians tells me that conversion by 2020 is unlikely, dare I say impossible. As long as their pastors keep spitting out a rhetoric that helps them keep their bibles closed and their pockets emptied, they are not going to convert to Islam. Black Christians will more likely worship the Lucky Charms Leprechaun than praise Allah. The likes of Farrakhan, Elijah, Crelfo Dollar and Sylvia Browne are all preaching for the same reason (you do the math). But since most people never read their own scriptures or research for themselves... "Malcolm X was a Hypocrite and he will always remain a Hypocrite because he died a Hypocrite. He said he believed and then he disbelieved and that makes him a Hypocite. " As for Believer saying that Malcolm X was a hypocrite, I wonder if you were rehashing this statement because it's what you've been told. If he believed and then disbelieved makes him a hypocrite, what does that make converts? (were you previously a christian or member of another faith?) I think Malcolm just became aware -awareness is not hypocritical. A hypocrite is one says or teaches but does not practice what he preaches -i.e. monogamy, murder, faith, devotion...Marinate on that! It is an awful shame that a man who died seeking a just life for you could be remembered so bitterly, but again, it's what you've been told to believe Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
