Law Enforcement At Its WorstReader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims? Submitted by Bruce Watt (United States), Jun 19, 2002 at 10:13 Mr. Mueller is violating one of the rules put out to all members of law enforcement organizations from FBI to local agencies, that we are not to give the appearance of improper association. No trips with drug lords, no junkets with gangsters, no gifts from criminals or groups, or anything that would cast a negative light on the public view of the agency's character. With what we know about this group and its associates and what it stands for and how it operates, Mr. Mueller's actions of visiting them disgusts me ... How can he do it unless he has other things on his mind besides our security. Is he really a Mueller or Mullah?Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
