If a large majority of Muslims truly do not espouse violence or totalitarian means of spreading Islam the solution is very simple indeed. The many members of that large majority simply need to isolate and encarcerate or eliminate the mad dogs among them. Then we can all live in peace. Given that they obviously don't do that the only possibilities that make sense are that most Muslims are too cowardly to isolate the killers, or they are sympathizers with the killers, or they are supporters of the killers. It takes two sides to live in peace.
