Regime Collapse and Arab-Israel issueReader comment on item: After Regime Collapse in Iraq Submitted by Harold Hunt (United States), Apr 15, 2003 at 20:56 I agree with everything you said except about the Palestinian Israel situation. Does not every Arab see the world through the Palestinian/Israel prism of hatred?Whenever an Arab or Muslim mentions the United States' foreign policy they are talking about Israel. Our diplomats are going to have to learn to walk and chew gum. Democracy in Iraq should not divert the US from an agreement between Palestine and Israel. In a 1991 piece you said, "It would be like neglecting Germany and Japan in late 1945 to solve the Irish problem." We neglected it and it is has cost Great Britain a great loss of life and kept the Irish people from progressing. The Arab-Israel issue is a much larger problem that can easily spill over to the US and Europe.
