Reflexive reaction?
Reader comment on item: After Regime Collapse in Iraq

Submitted by Yonason (United States), Apr 13, 2003 at 12:35

DR HUSSEIN AMIN says: "...US should invite all kinds of forces, ...international forums ...UN ...Arab League to work together ...on behalf of the Iraqi people as soon as possible."

Is this a typical Arab reaction, to increase force? It seems we have guite sufficient at present, thank you. And why such a gemisch of them? What good would the Arab league do? As representatives of totalitarian regimes, what could they possible do to foster a democratic process?

If we approach this honestly and in good faith, I think we are going to learn a lot about the Arabs, and ourselves.
