I have only one correction for you: the Arabic word kafir means: non-believer (in Islam) and it applies to all non Muslims and at times to Muslims (eg: those that celebrate Mulid al-Nabi)

And no the word kafir does not mean to cover. This is bogus Arabic and you only hear it from wannabe Arabs and Pakistanis.

The Arabic words non-believer and he who covers come from the same root KFR but this is where the similarities end. This is not unlike the case of the Arabic root SLM. I'm sure you heard from ignorant Pakistanis that Islam and peace (salam) are some how the same. But this is also bogus. The two words have the same root but they come from different stems and the words Islam (to surrender to Allah), yaslam (or he becomes a Muslim) come from one stem and then we have the words salam (peace) and salim or he is safe come from another stem and these two stems have nothing more in common. But again wnnabe Arabs and Pakistanis are clueless about Arabic grammar.

As for Michel, I feel sorry for him.
