The Influence of Old Testament Bible stories
Reader comment on item: The $36 Billion Bargain: Strategy and Politics in U.S. Assistance to Israel

Submitted by Linda Swanson (United States), Feb 20, 2007 at 00:10

I have heard a story that President Nixon's mother used to read Old Testament Bible stories to him as a child; & she would tell him that some day God would put him in a position where he would be able to help the Jews in a great way. I do not know how accurate it is, but I would like to think it is true.

I pray that the United States of America will always be of great support to Israel. May God's wisdom guide our leaders during these difficult times, & may they be obedient to His guidance.
