Pretty typical attempt to play two against the middle

in response to reader comment: America's puppet (Iraq)

If the Sunni and Shia would both wake up, they'd both be quite a bit farther ahead. It seems that most folks across the region have forgotten what's important.

- death is now more important than life. Killing innocents is ok- the more grotesque the technique the better. Behavior equivalent to the worst of World War II, Pol Pot and others combined. And you do it for "religion".

- the struggle is more important than attaining a peace. You use talk of peace and human rights when it's convenient while slaughtering your own neighbor, destroying your own neighborhoods and making your country unbearable to it's own citizens as well as neighboring countries. Worse yet, you adopt mind-control techniques in your Madras' and schools to ensure your children will not waiver from YOUR personal fight. "Death to America"? Keep going, we love to be taunted...

- a better quality life for your people? No, you fight your petty turf wars at every turn... Hamas vs Fatah, Hezbollahagainst everybody, and on and on. Where there aren't turf wars, you make them up to have an enemy to rise up against and rally your people (ala Ahmadinejad). Maybe they wouldn't support you if there wasn't such an enemy?

- we want to plunder your resources? Ha! you can't even keep the wells and refineries running without key Western personnel. You get more than a fair deal and what do you expect? More, more, more... nationalize and steal what investment you sought in the first place.

At least the Kurds stand up for themselves, know what they want and don't torture their own people.

Your petty attempt to blame the West fails to understand the basic situation in most of the middle east - your leaders are some of the most backward and barbaric on the planet and there are consequences of exporting your behavior to other countries. You've sealed your own fate and don't even know it.

You also fail to realize that Western culture, for all our weaknesses and pettiness, has an incredible strength of will. Once we see the enemy clearly, there will be no stopping. You've managed to hide and blow smokescreens so far, but that will pass - then you're done.

Enough is enough.
