The events in the past year has demonstrated that trying democracy as tool in achieving peace in the Middle East is delusional.
Hamas, despite The majority of people of the West Bank and Gaza's desire for peace, refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist and enter any form of peace negotiation. Look at what they are doing to their fellow religionists in Iraq and don't expect any mercy on Israel.

Israel and the US should give up this hope and instead build on Israel's strength and security of it's borders.
