Reader comment on item: How the West Could Lose
in response to reader comment: For Harrak and my little Qasida

Submitted by susan (Italy), Jan 7, 2007 at 15:11

someone somewhere said that Harrak is moroccan, that would make him arabian speaking... as a side question: I talked once with a very supponent and arrogant muslim woman (who would have thought) from tunisia, married with a kafir and therefore enjoying all the benefits of the kafir world. Her job was to invite immigrants to computer classes. She was very proud in saying that she knew "moroccan, tunisian, egyptian, liban, etc etc" .basically she understood all the different languages of maghreb, plus she knew italian, english and french. Of course she pulled this because she wanted to impress me.

I didn't bother to start a controversy with her but aren't all the arabic based languages in Morocco, tunisia, egypt bla bla bla all the same?

Each of them from those countries talks "arabic", so her pretending those were all different languages was pure bragging about nothing.

Am I right?
