The word boast means: Iftikhar The word aggressive means: mutazidd So we are still left with the word mahjas. The problem with this word is that the letter "h" can be Arabic hah or Arabic heh So let us try Arabic Hah which is most likely the letter here: The root would be HJS And the word Mahjas with a hah means: the obstacle. I could not find a word mahjas with a heh or even a root MJS with a heh. So I must disagree that the explanation provided does not make sense. I will keep looking.
