Submitted by nicolette (United States), Dec 26, 2006 at 10:13 women in fundamentalist islam=powerless, but boy what a power the niqab is outside of islam- I imagine in islamic countries where niqab is de rigeur women are recognized by walk or mannerisms or just plain loud voice. But in a western co.- its like a walking mobile personal security camera that can see out and no-one can see in and that + terrorism is like a masked bruiser walking in to a store.
