I must respond to Mr. Wong's ideas. I agree that we should wean ourselves off of oil from the Middle East, but we should wean ourselves off of oil in general for environmental reasons, not simply political ones. But how can our great nation deny Muslims the right to immigrate here just because they choose to worship a God named Allah instead of a God named Jesus or a God named Krishna? How does it matter what name we humans assign to God? How can God look down on us and approve of us treating each other the way we do because of slight differences in cultural and religious practices?

Yes, we must stop terrorists whose goal is to murder people and destroy civilizations, but we cannot crush every Muslim in the effort to eradicate a few twisted Islamic militants. The human race needs to come together now more than ever before, and petty squabbling over religion will only weaken us all.
