James Baker version 3.0 has never changed.

His law firm Baker Botts LLP represents the house of saud - his law firm will be defending saudi in a trial that will decide the liability to the families of 9/11. I have no doubt that JB3 will be there as the spokesmouth for his firm ( well who knows ).

I can recall reading in a very big book about 5 years ago, that chronicalled US and the West relations with Israel. JB3 was painted as a smiling Anti Semite who hated Israel before he became the SoS ( Secretary of State but in his case Save our Souls is more a propos).

Not to mention his famous speech " When you are serious about peace, call us at XXX" in the 1980s which put the onus on Israel to show the world that was not true. Hence Madrid, Oslo, territory give aways and withdraws.

Israel is his friend as long as they bend to his will. Business is Business

The larger question> Knowing that the prejudice possessed by self appointed blue blood country club Wasps such as JB3 and many many others, hidden by a thin veneer, does exist, how could Begin and his advisors agree with the 'peace' treaty?.
