Joe makes an interesting comment regarding Bush's inconsistencies on fighting terrorism. I agree that there are some inconsistencies; however, fighting terrorism is global in nature. Where do you put the most resources where they count. The area that Bush needs to clarify is with countries like Saudi Arabia who seem to be mired in Whabbahism.
Another area of Bush's inconsistency was with Israel in the initial stages. Arafat true colors were known for the last 30 years. Again, with Saudi Arabia's influence Bush backed off in the initial stages of the recent infitada.
One problem we have in the U.S. is this air of political correctness. For instance, the ACLU is suing the airlines for profiling. What sheer stupidity and a waste of the nations resources and energy. What should we do, profile Caucasian grandmothers! We are at war, but, I don't think the ACLU realizes that.
The other side of the issue is the Democrat's looking for every fault with the Bush Administration by accusations like, "What did Bush know and when did he know it?". On the positive side, the accusations have backfired, but, also they seem to bring out where the problems really occurred, ie., FBI, CIA, political correctness, Congressional meddling, etc.
