Dr Pipes, I read your article with rapt attention. It is simply wonderful. We need more articles like this from you in future. Muslims should take lessons in the real world from countries like Japan for example, instead of finding all answers in the surreal world of their religion. As they say, God helps them who help themselves. After being devastated in the WWII , Japan rose from its ashes and made such tremendous progress in science and technology. Muslims can try to do the same by imitating Japan to beat the West at its own game, namely science and technology, which have made the west great. Nobody is holding them back except themselves. Instead, they are sadly stuck in their old ways. The West and America in particular is the seat of progress. The whole world benefits from the research and progress developed here in information technology, communications technology and pharmaceuticals. Which sane minds would want to destroy it? What do they want to ultimately achieve? Another Dark Ages for the human kind?
