Well Mister Joe, it just all depends which eurocentric source your using. As a note, that has no relevance to the point I am making.

To get things straight, the Islamic population is a debatable issue some sources say 1.2,1.3,1.6 and others even 2 billion. But most American sources claim the the population to be 1.3. In reality though, Islam is the fastest growing religion.

You seriously need a spell checker; people that follows Islam arent "muslems" but Muslims.

Now move on along..the article was written on March 1991 and mine comment was just a side comment.
