Actually, since the Muslim states would always be at each other's throats without a common enemy (they split into Sunni and Shi'at 'Ali as soon as Muahammad's cadaver was cold), we ought to stand back and let them go at each other. Each side would drop the price of oil in order to sell more for the sake of getting cash with which to buy weapons.
