Concerning the article "Jihad and the Professors" together with the reactions that followed, there is a very important lesson here for the public ...

The public's lesson is that no matter how "nice" moderate american muslims and/or professors of Islam try to paint the concept of "jihad", it was and remains a potential threat to the West because of the use it has in practice regardless of whatever other more spiritual definitions it may also have in theory.
