It isn't that the people are bad. It IS that the ideology of Islam is repugnant to those of us who hold democratic values above religious and govermental fascism. Unfortunately for those who worship God under the beliefs and laws of Muhammad, as expressed in the Koran, represent a compounding of the two. Islam isn't just some benign Religion. It is the rule of law for business, justice system, education, world view, social values and every other aspect of society. People of democracy can not abide with going to an "authority" every time they have a thought or a problem comes up. One can not submitt to Islam and remain Independant. And the people who value democracy hold the belief of independance (social, government and religious freedom) very high.

Today Muslims are gaining some influence in democratic countries by bemoaning how they are victimized by western society. And because there is an inherent generosity and benevolence in western society and in fact in the construct of democracy itself, advantage can be taken with some success. However, while you rejoice in your successful attacks on democracy, think on this. What do you think is going to happen to Muslims and Islam once we all come to realize we have been "victimized" by Muslims and Islamic propaganda.

We don't like big government, and we don't like taxes. and we sure don't like taxes that aren't reflected in what we get from our government. Do you really think you'll be able to tax us for not converting to a religious government.
