Thank you, Lactantius -- you saved me a bit of work deflating that endlessly used, intentionally deceptive quotation. But Bruce is correct. I neglected the two options besides death that the Muslim god offers to nonbelievers: subjugation, through the payment of the jizyah tax and various humiliating restrictions on daily life, or conversion. (Koran 9:29).
