Reader comment on item: The Scandal of U.S.-Saudi Relations

Submitted by Ivan Radic (Canada), Jan 13, 2003 at 10:37

How can this be happening?

Are our elected officials representing what is in our best interest, or what is in the House of Saud's best interest?

The KSA is the birthplace of Wahabbism, and the worst of anti-western/anti-Israeli vitriol.
Now Saudi money is undermining the credibility of our elected officials and our public servants.
As a result, does Colin Powell's reluctance to commit to removing Saddam represent the wishes of American doves and liberals, or Saudi princes who seek to maintain the status-quo??
