Saudi Arabia is a Puny Theocratic DictatorshipReader comment on item: The Scandal of U.S.-Saudi Relations Submitted by Ralph C.Whaley MD (United States), Jan 10, 2003 at 08:24 Dear Mr. Pipes:Saudi Arabia is not one of the world's most important states. It is a pitiful measly dictatorship made to appear powerful by the cowardly sycophantic behavior and indulgence of the US Government. America should take over the place, liberate the Americans held prisoner and retake the oil discovered by American and European companies and return it to its rightful owners. The power of Saudi Arabia is totally dependent on the cowardice and craven behavior of those you so eloquently describe in this article. Thank you for your honesty and diligence in exposing these facts. Sincerely yours, Ralph C. Whaley MD Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
