Dear Dr. Pipes:
I had a hunch before I opened this email that there would be awful news about Oriana Fallaci.
I fell in love with her writing after reading the first paragagh of her "Rage and Pride". I could feel the pain and hate for what what happening to her country and to other European countries rippling up from the pages. in a white heat.
Her wonderful, terrible, relentless courage and clear-eyed truthtelling--she and Winston Churchill would have been great friends.
We have lost a great warrior for freedom and decent treatment and I am heartbroken.
