scriptureReader comment on item: The Bible's Role in American Support for Israel Submitted by buffaloacademy (United States), Sep 10, 2006 at 00:24 Yes, we're basing our love of Israel on faith... faith in the Word of God. Our theologians, who also have numerous college degrees so quit calling them stupid, have all the details. I have a lowly three years or so of college, only one of them being in theology, the other two in chemistry. Having spent my life playing music for pentecostal churches and home schooling six successful children, I can hardly be listened to by such astute people as Mr. Bart. However... one scripture that jumps out on "Zionism" is Isaiah11: 11. I'm sure that replacement theology has dozens in interpretations, but literally it says: "In shall come to pass in that day that the LORD shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left." I take that literally. It has happened. Deal with it. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
