Good filmReader comment on item: PBS, Recruiting for Islam Submitted by Dee (United States), Jan 7, 2003 at 10:55 I felt the film was rife for a certain intended audience, although, I do disagree with Public funding going to support the film. The film was only intended to an audience who knows nothing of Muhammed or Islam. There was no need (in my opinion) to really get critical on Muhammed simply when one knows nothing about him. Not to mention, some of the information about Muhammed presented by western christian fundamentalists are complete fabrication and historically undocumented. I think PBS did a good job on presenting a basic Muhammed. And about the PBS film on Jesus....Well the film kept calling Jesus the "Messiah" (No one believes that Myth anymore), and only presented a mild critical point. However we live here in the west, we all know very well of the career and life of Jesus, I would expect nothing less of a critical presentation of Jesus. But as as for Muhammed....I think we can wait a while.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
