For evil to triumph, all that is necessary is silenceReader comment on item: The Islamic Society of Boston & the Politicians' Red Faces Submitted by Aragon (United States), Sep 4, 2006 at 16:46 Public discussion of a matter in which the public have a compelling interest is protected by the First Amendment of The United States Constitution. I would say that the dubious behavior of the BRA, The Menino Administration and the ISB relating to the "deal of the century" for a valuable piece of PUBLIC land is screaming for MORE public scrutiny. Thank God for reporters and commentators with the courage to speak despite the threats and actions of those who oppose a public airing of the truth. For evil to triumph, all that is necessary is silent complicity. Thank God for The Constitution of The United States. Remember: The Constitution is NOT a suicide pact. "Men of the West! I Bid You Stand!" Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
