common sense and superb scholarship by Dr. Pipes --- Where is the audience?

Excellent article. I am always a bit surprised. Dr. Pipes is an excellent writer. His theses are well presented, well researched, and well supported by prior articles and footnotes of other writers.

Can anyone explain why he does not write for the NY Times? What terrible crime has he committed other than refusing to care about political correctness? Maybe he is just a little too conservative for the liberal Times.

Ironically, I feel he is a better scholar than any political commentator in any North American paper. Wish his byline would appear in the NY Times and the Washington Post.

Maybe it is true, there is a Club Liberal and smart, thoughtful conservatives need not apply.

Keep up the thoughtful analysis and keep on writing!!
