Submitted by Anubhav Singh (India), Aug 18, 2006 at 02:23 Dr Pipes' view on Islam cannot be taken as an authority. and just because it is a 1400 yrs old religion does not mean it cannot be wrong. Koran in pretty explicit terms calls for destruction of polytheism and religions which follow idol-worshipping. Its views on Judaism and Christianity are also negative in no uncertain terms. If you see a majority of Muslims living life in a normal way, that does not still prove that Islam itself has problems. I dunno about Judaism and Christianity but no oriental religion or its religious books calls for destruction of any particular religion or cult or sect.
