Justification of war with Iraq

Reader comment on item: From the Halls of Academia

Submitted by Allan Unger (United States), Dec 29, 2002 at 00:36

I am not a university professor but , lacking further information, I am oppposed to military intervention in Iraq..

The administration has failed to show credible evidence of weapons of mass destruction. If there is such evidence, US citizens deserve a good description of that evidence and a specific understanding of the dangers such weapons present before engaging in war.

To suggest disclosing evidence would compromise sources is unacceptable. War is much much bigger than sources.
