Disruption of the Finances of Terrorists
Reader comment on item: NBC News, Counterterrorist Agency

Submitted by JoEllen Sanderson (United States), Aug 8, 2006 at 01:01

"Comment: Bravo to NBC News for its intrepid and constructive work. But where is the vaunted financial counterterrorism effort of the U.S. government? If NBC can do all this from public sources, one has to wonder how effective law enforcement's can be. (July 25, 2006)"

Incredible story. I am surprised and impressed that NBC would do this. But, your point is very well-taken---if it is really this easy, where is the US government? Based upon what I read in "Infiltration" by Paul Sperry and also what you are saying about "political Islamism", I am concerned that the FBI worries more about being unfair to Muslims than it does about disrupting their terrorist activities.
