FreedomReader comment on item: From the Halls of Academia Submitted by Gabriel Grosso (Italy), Dec 27, 2002 at 11:14 We have the same problem in Britain where anti-Americanism is very strong. As a non-American, I feel very strongly against the 9/11 hijackers. As a European, I would like to express my pro-American and pro-Israeli views. But I am denied this chance. Our tradition of freedom of speech allows us to say what we like. Even to criticize our own country if we wish.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
