Reader comment on item: Conversions in Israel
in response to reader comment: a question for Anubhav Singh

I was referring to post 1947 Pakistan. In 1947 Hindus who decided to stay in Pakistan comprised over 20% of Pakistani population. Today talking of them in terms of ratio of population is meaningless. they are below 1%. East Pakistan/Bangladesh was formed in 1971. at that time ratio of Hindus was 30%. today it is around 7%.

Pre 1947 is all the more bloody. It is estimated that since Islamic invasion on historical India (Afghanistan/Pakistan/India) around 80 million Hindus/Buddhists were killed. Hindu-Islamic relation in India was always bloody. Something to which majority of Hindus who believe in equality of religions cannot forget or accept. You may use google and find relevant articles/books. Majority of these will be influenced by European authors who always have shown bias towards Islam.

Regarding Kashmir. Dont want to bore u. But historically India/Bharat/Aryavarta (Afghanistan/Pakistan/India)has been like pre Alexander Greek states, which were never unified politically but were same in terms of culture and religion, and that is why ALL Hindus/Buddhists/Sikhs/Jains want Kashmir. to point 1 aspect, Kashmir was a major center of Buddhism where Buddhists religious councils used to take place when Buddhism was sort of 'state' religion.

Some European scholars have done research and claim that Jesus spent his 'missing' years in Buddhist monasteries in Kashmir. How muslims ended up in Kashmir? well we all know the answer. I am scared of western liberals, and hence I wont elaborate on this!
