There Is A "Mistake," And It's Name Is "Oslo."
Reader comment on item: New York Sun Columnist Weighs in on Creation of State of Israel

BS"D

Dr. Pipes uses the little time given him to maximum efficiency, and sums the situation up beautifully, "If you don't win, you lose."

And Israel has been "losing" since Oslo.

The "Peace Process" was a fiction from the beginning, only the bait to keep Israel, and the world, at bay while they (the fictitious "Palestinians") could act out their "phased plan " for Israel's destruction. But Oslo isn't just one mistake, it is an ongoing series of one folly after another, each worse than the one before.

And this is the reason why many of us are afraid that, G-d forbid, this war is just another leap toward the abyss. Caroline Glick, as eloquent as ever, clearly articulates that our concerns about the current war boil down to whether the Leftist government (i.e., Olmert&Co.) have the determination to win. Another way of expressing our concerns is: if we do "win", will we then blow the whole thing (yet again) by making ever more suicidal concessions to the savages?

After all, we already KNOW there is NO REASON to trust them, AT ALL!

"The following list delineates 10 of the most egregious PLO violations of the Oslo Accords. The list is neither comprehensive nor exhaustive; rather, its focus is on infractions Israel deems most serious.
1. Opening Fire On Israeli Forces
2. Failure To Confiscate Illegal Arms And Disarm And Disband Militias
3. Failure To Extradite Suspected Terrorists To Israel
4. Incitement To Violence Against Israel
5. Failure To Change The PLO Covenant
6. Opening PA Offices In Jerusalem
7. Recruiting Terrorists To Serve In The Palestinian Police
8. Exceeding The Limit On The Number Of Palestinian Police
9. Abuse Of Human Rights And The Rule Of Law
10. Conduct Of Foreign Relations

Pleae note that was ONLY from Oslo thru 1996!

For those interested in a more comprehensive overview, there is a very abbreviated selection of articles that demonstrate the utter folly of even thinking we could live in peace while those people were free to act out their hate, here.

But why should America care? Well, as noted at Powerline,...
" In a great column for NRO, Andrew McCarthy brings the same kind of clarity with an American perspective: "Course correction." McCarthy writes:

Israel's war against Hezbollah is a watershed in the war on terror. As long as we understand that it's not just Israel's war. And it's not just against Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is Iran. It is Iran's wholly owned proxy warrior. It is fighting Israel. It is an enemy of the United States, because its master, Iran, is an enemy of the United States. THIS IS OUR WAR [my emphasis]."

America is Islam's "Great Satan," and any war with Israel (Islam's "Little Satan") is a war with America, and indeed all Western civilization, which they hate literally more than life itself.

Right now, we all need to keep in mind their slogan, "First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people."[3rd pp from bottom] And then we have to DO something about it!
