'moderate muslims'

You know i keep on hearing this phrase being used time and time again: 'moderate muslims.' As a muslim i don't have a clue what that is... what is it? All i know is that i am a muslim and always striving to be a good one. I don't think people have the right to call people extreme/moderate muslims because they are only taking in the appearance of that person and not their characteristics or behaviour.

For all you know a man with a long beard could have impeccable manners or a lady in full covering could be a very kind, hospitable person. I mean come on would Christians like it if someone said to them 'oh you're an atheist because you don't go to church on sundays.' Judge yourself before you yourself are judged.
